What Mesotherapy Delivers
Unlike topical skincare, mesotherapy bypasses the skin barrier entirely — delivering actives exactly where they need to work.
Deep Hydration
Hyaluronic acid delivered directly into the mesoderm provides cellular hydration that topical moisturisers cannot achieve — plumping fine lines and restoring a dewy, supple skin quality from within.
Glass Skin Radiance
A targeted vitamin blend (including Vitamin C, B-complex, and amino acids) brightens uneven tone, reduces dullness, and delivers the lit-from-within luminosity that makes skin look genuinely healthy.
Skin Tightening
Growth factor actives in the mesotherapy cocktail stimulate fibroblast activity, supporting new collagen formation and improving skin elasticity — gradually firming and tightening lax or crepey skin.
Skin Quality Reset
An ideal pre-event or pre-procedure treatment. Mesotherapy rapidly resets tired, stressed, or depleted skin — restoring luminosity and plumpness before significant occasions or as maintenance between more intensive treatments.
Paramedical.
Customized for You.
The mesotherapy cocktail used at MARA.H is not a generic off-the-shelf solution. Your blend is selected based on your specific skin concerns — dehydration, dullness, laxity, or a combination — and adjusted at each session based on your skin’s response.
All injectable treatments are performed under the oversight of Dr Jenn Lee, an Ahpra Registered Practitioner (General Registration MED0002666421), using only TGA-compliant products.
Why Mesotherapy Works
Where Serums Cannot.
The Skin Barrier Problem
Your skin’s outer barrier (stratum corneum) is designed to keep things out — including the active ingredients in your skincare. Even the most expensive serums only penetrate the very surface layers. The hyaluronic acid and vitamins that your skin actually needs for cellular health cannot reach their target through topical application alone.
Direct Delivery to the Mesoderm
Mesotherapy bypasses the barrier entirely. Using a series of precise microinjections, a customized blend of actives is delivered directly into the mesoderm — the middle skin layer where cellular hydration, collagen synthesis, and skin luminosity originate. The result is immediate and measurable improvement in skin quality.
Cumulative Benefits Over Time
While the immediate glow is visible after session one, the collagen-stimulating and skin-restructuring effects compound over a course of treatments. Clients on a maintenance schedule report sustained improvements in skin firmness, hydration, and overall skin quality that continue to develop between sessions.
“Mesotherapy is our most versatile treatment — it works on its own as a glow reset, and it dramatically enhances the results of everything else we do. Skin that is deeply hydrated responds better to laser, to needling, to everything.”

Skin Booster vs Dermal Filler: Which Do You Need?
Hydration or volume? We break down how skin boosters and dermal fillers work, where each fits, and how to choose at consultation.
Pair Mesotherapy With
Mesotherapy vs Microneedling and Skin Boosters
The right treatment depends on what your skin actually needs. These three approaches are often combined at MARA.H, so understanding the difference helps you ask the right questions.
Mesotherapy vs Microneedling
Mesotherapy injects a hydrating cocktail of hyaluronic acid, vitamins, and amino acids directly into the mesoderm for an immediate glow. Microneedling instead creates controlled micro-channels to trigger your skin’s own collagen remodelling for smoother texture and improved scarring over a course.
They are complementary, not competing — microneedling restructures, mesotherapy rehydrates, and many North Shore clients combine the two.
Mesotherapy vs Skin Boosters
“Skin booster” is the category — an injectable hyaluronic-acid treatment that improves skin quality from within. Mesotherapy is the customized version of that category: the blend is adjusted to your specific concerns at each session rather than applied as a single fixed formula.
If you are comparing skin boosters in Sydney, mesotherapy is the tailored option for dehydration, dullness, and early laxity.
How Long Results Last
The immediate glow is visible after the first session and lasts several weeks. The deeper skin-quality change builds cumulatively across a course of 3–4 sessions spaced 2–4 weeks apart, because hydration and collagen signalling compound with repeat delivery.
Most clients then maintain their results with a single session every 1–3 months in Chatswood.
Mesotherapy Programme Tiers.
Mesotherapy programmes at MARA.H are structured in four tiers, from foundational skin support to comprehensive anti-ageing protocols. Single-ingredient, cocktail, and peptide add-ons can be layered onto any tier based on the assessment.
Basic
Foundational mesotherapy session — hydration, vitamin support, and skin-quality maintenance.
Advance
Targeted formulation addressing specific concerns — pigmentation support, texture refinement, and tone.
Ultimate
Multi-layer protocol addressing several concerns simultaneously — deeper delivery, broader active panel.
Premium
Anti-ageing and lifting-focused protocol — higher concentration actives for structural skin support.
Layered Onto Any Tier
Single-ingredient, cocktail, and peptide boosters can be added to any programme tier based on the consultation assessment.
Mesotherapy programmes require a consultation to assess suitability, active selection, and the recommended number of sessions. Results develop gradually over a course. Prices reflect Fresha booking rates current at October 2026.
Risks, Recovery and Suitability
What most people experience
A grid of small raised bumps across the treated area, one at each injection point. These are expected and usually flatten over several hours to a day. Redness, tenderness and pinpoint bruising are usual, and swelling can be more noticeable around the eyes and mouth than elsewhere.
Less common risks you should know about
Infection at an injection site, firm lumps that take longer than expected to settle, and allergic reaction to a component of the cocktail can occur. In deeper skin tones, injection points that are picked at, irritated or left unprotected from sun can leave post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation that takes weeks to months to fade. Cold sores can be reactivated by injections around the mouth in people who get them. As with any injection into the face, product entering or pressing on a blood vessel is possible.
Recovery and what it affects
Plan for visible injection points on the day and sometimes into the next, and avoid booking treatment immediately before an event. The detailed timings — makeup, exercise, heat, active skincare — are set out in the aftercare section below, and your therapist’s instructions on the day take priority over any general guide.
Results and responses vary
This treatment works on skin quality rather than facial volume or laxity, so it will not lift, contour or replace what has changed structurally. It is given as a course, and the change builds across sessions rather than arriving after one. How your skin responds depends on your barrier condition, hydration, sun history, hormones and skincare, and the effect is maintained with repeat sessions rather than lasting indefinitely.
When this isn’t suitable, or needs assessment first
This treatment is not appropriate during pregnancy or breastfeeding, over active infection, an active breakout in the treatment area, or inflamed or acutely compromised skin. A bleeding disorder or ongoing blood-thinning medication, a known allergy to a product component, an active cold sore, a history of keloid scarring, and recent laser or peel treatment all mean we assess before proceeding. Prescription injectable treatments at MARA.H follow consultation with Dr Jenn Lee, an Ahpra Registered Practitioner (General Registration MED0002666421), and suitability is decided at that consultation rather than before it.
If something doesn’t seem right
Call the clinic on 0468 358 861. Spreading redness, increasing pain, discharge, fever, a lump that is growing rather than settling, or skin that turns white or dusky should be looked at rather than waited out. If it is severe or you are worried, contact your GP or call 000.
After your skin booster treatment
On the day
This is a minimally invasive injection treatment, so expect small raised points where the needle went in, along with redness and tenderness. Use only the recovery products your therapist has given you; they lower the risk of infection while the injection points close over. No makeup for the first 72 hours.
Days 2 to 7
Most people find the visible response settles within one to two days, and for some it takes a little longer. The raised points flatten as the product disperses. Redness and stinging through the first few days is how skin responds to being punctured, not a sign of a problem.
Avoid throughout the recovery period
Exfoliating acids, retinol and vitamin C for the first week. Long stretches outdoors for the first week. Swimming, saunas and heavy sweating for 72 hours.
Sun protection
SPF50+ every day for the first two weeks, reapplied every two hours when you are outdoors, with a wide-brimmed hat and sunglasses to keep direct sun off treated skin.

Call us if
Redness that is spreading, increasing pain, discharge, fever, or anything that is getting worse rather than better. Call the clinic on 0468 358 861 and do not wait for your next appointment to raise it. Outside opening hours, or if it is severe, contact your GP or call 000.
One more thing
Your treating practitioner will give you instructions based on how your skin actually responded on the day. Those take priority over this page.
