What Does the Synergy Lift Achieve?
Traditional treatments choose between structure or skin quality. MARA.H links them. This combined approach revises skin at the cellular level while lifting its structural foundation.
Structural Jawline Contour
HIFU deeply tightens the structural SMAS foundation (the ‘jowls’) for crisp, lifted jawline definition.
Cellular Glow & Hydration
DMK revises dermal functions, intensely hydrating and oxygenating tissues for an immediate, healthy ‘Enzyme Glow’.
Refined Smooth Texture
HIFU stimulates profound collagen while DMK improves cell turnover, smoothing pores, fine lines, and crepiness.
Deep Neck & Chin Firming
Both therapies target tissue laxity, visibly reducing horizontal banding and ‘turkey neck’ by strengthening the dermal matrix.
Structural & Cellular Revision

This validated clinical case shows the transformation linking High-Intensity Focused Ultrasound (SMAS lift) and DMK Enzyme Therapy (lymphatic detoxification) for unmatched, multi-layer rejuvenation.
HIFU + DMK: A Multi-Layered Approach
A non-surgical facelift should do more than just tighten. It must revitalize. At MARA.H, we link two powerful paramedical systems to achieve what single treatments cannot.
Cellular Canvas (DMK Enzyme)
Revises cell function, removes redundant cell buildup, and utilizes lymphatic drainage (reverse osmosis) to flush toxins. It oxygenates the tissue and prepares the optimal dermal landscape.
Structural Pillars (Medical HIFU)
Safely bypasses the surface to target thermal energy deep into the SMAS layer. This triggers profound collagen neo-genesis, lifting the structural pillars of the face over 8–12 weeks.
“By oxygenating the tissue via DMK, the skin responds far more intensely and safely to HIFU energy, resulting in deeper contours and a vibrant, long-lasting glow.”
The MARA.H Clinical Difference
Combination therapies require rigorous clinical standards. Factory-certified training and official protocols are critical for both unmatched results and absolute safety.
HIFU Device Protocols
The MARA.H clinical team follows HIFU device manufacturer factory-certified training protocols — precise SMAS-layer energy delivery, with the safeguards required to prevent nerve damage and fat loss.
Marina Hu Clinical Standards
All HIFU + DMK Synergy protocols follow clinical standards established by founder Marina Hu — with each treatment plan set for the individual and reviewed at every session.
Authentic DMK Protocols
The DMK phase is delivered by the MARA.H clinical team under DMK official validation — ensuring correct cellular revision and lymphatic detoxification before structural lifting.
Four Treatment Tiers.
HIFU is priced by treatment area. The depth of focused ultrasound energy and the number of delivery lines are calibrated to each zone — the lower face has different lifting requirements from the full face and neck combined.
Lower Face
Jawline definition and lower-cheek support — the area where early laxity is most visible.
Full Face
Complete face treatment from temple to jawline — addresses mid-face, cheek, and brow area in a single session.
Full Face + Neck
Adds the neck region — horizontal lines, submental area, and skin laxity below the jawline.
Abdomen / Hips
Non-invasive lifting for abdominal skin laxity — post-weight-loss, post-partum, or age-related tissue changes.
HIFU results develop over 8–12 weeks as collagen remodelling progresses. A consultation determines suitability, depth settings, and whether a single session or a course is appropriate. Prices reflect Fresha booking rates current at October 2026.
Risks, Recovery and Suitability
What most people experience
Heat, prickling and deep aching during treatment, which is felt more strongly over bone such as the jawline and forehead. Afterwards the skin is usually red for a few hours, and the treated area can feel tender to touch, tender when chewing, and mildly swollen for several days. Small raised welts along the treatment lines can appear and settle within hours to a day.
Less common risks you should know about
Bruising, numbness or altered sensation in patches of skin can last for weeks. Temporary muscle weakness or asymmetry — a change in the smile, or a heavy eyelid — can occur if energy affects a nerve, and resolves over weeks to months rather than immediately. Burns, blistering and scarring are uncommon but possible. In thinner faces, loss of facial fat in the treated area has been reported, which shows as hollowing rather than lifting. These risks relate to energy settings, depth and anatomy; careful assessment and technique reduce them rather than removing them.
Recovery and what it affects
Most people go back to their usual day, but tenderness when chewing can make firm food uncomfortable for several days. The detailed timings — heat, exercise, skincare, sun protection — are set out in the aftercare section below, and your therapist’s instructions on the day take priority over any general guide.
Results and responses vary
Change is gradual and is judged at around three months, not on the day, because it depends on your own collagen response. How much you see depends on your age, skin thickness, how much laxity there is and where the laxity sits. This is not a surgical lift and will not produce a surgical result; where laxity is advanced, a consultation may conclude that this is not the right treatment rather than that more sessions are needed.
When this isn’t suitable, or needs assessment first
This treatment is not appropriate during pregnancy or breastfeeding, over active infection, open lesions or inflamed skin in the treatment area, or over metal implants or a pacemaker in the treatment field. A history of keloid scarring, an autoimmune condition, recent filler or thread placement in the area, significant skin laxity, and a very thin face all mean we assess before proceeding and may recommend a different approach.
If something doesn’t seem right
Call the clinic on 0468 358 861. Blistering, a burn, spreading redness, increasing pain, numbness that is not improving, or weakness or asymmetry in the face should be looked at rather than waited out. If it is severe or you are worried, contact your GP or call 000.
After your HIFU treatment
On the day
Expect redness and a warm feeling across the treated area, and some tenderness when you touch it. Skin is often drier than usual afterwards, so start a hydrating sheet mask on the day and use one daily for the first five days. The clinic card sets no makeup restriction for HIFU — your therapist will confirm on the day whether anything applies to you.
Days 2 to 7
Some stinging and redness over the first few days is the usual response. Dryness is the thing most people notice. Keep the daily hydrating mask going through day five and keep the skin moisturised beyond that.
Avoid throughout the recovery period
Exfoliating acids, retinol and vitamin C for the first few days. Long stretches outdoors for the first week. Swimming, saunas and heavy sweating for 72 hours.
Sun protection
SPF50+ every day for the first two weeks, reapplied every two hours when you are outdoors, with a wide-brimmed hat and sunglasses to keep direct sun off treated skin.
When you can resume
| Activity | When |
|---|---|
| Hydrating sheet mask | Daily for the first 5 days |
| Makeup | No restriction set on the card — confirm with your therapist on the day |
| Exfoliating acids, retinol, vitamin C | After the first few days, as your therapist directs |
| Extended time outdoors | After 7 days |
| Swimming, sauna, heavy sweating | After 72 hours |
| Your next treatment of any kind | Your therapist will set the interval |
Call us if
Redness that is spreading, increasing pain, blistering, discharge, or anything that is getting worse rather than better. Call the clinic on 0468 358 861 and do not wait for your next appointment to raise it. Outside opening hours, or if it is severe, contact your GP or call 000.
One more thing
Your therapist will give you instructions based on how your skin actually responded on the day. Those take priority over this page.
