Quick Answer

Asian facial anatomy has distinct bone density, wider cheekbone breadth and fuller midface soft tissue, so standard Western injection protocols can look overfilled. MARA.H plans structural, deep-support placement around your natural bone pillars — refining facial slimming and softening lines without a frozen expression.

How To Choose

Wrinkle Treatment, Filler, or Skin Booster?

The three injectable categories solve different problems. Knowing which one matches your concern is the first step — your final plan is always set at consultation with Dr Jenn Lee, an Ahpra Registered Practitioner (General Registration MED0002666421).

Wrinkle Treatment

Relax movement

For dynamic lines — frown lines, forehead and crow’s feet — that appear when you move your face. A muscle-relaxant softens movement so the skin smooths, while conservative micro-dosing keeps your expressions natural.

Wrinkle Treatment →

Dermal Fillers

Add structure & volume

For lost volume and contour — cheeks, lips, chin and jawline — that has changed with age or you were born without. Hyaluronic-acid filler restores structure and shape, planned around Asian facial anatomy for harmony rather than bulk.

Dermal Fillers →

Bio-Remodelling / Skin Boosters

Hydrate & firm

For skin quality — dehydration, dullness, fine lines and early laxity — rather than structure or movement. These hydrating injectables improve glow, plumpness and texture from within, and are often combined with the other two.

Choosing a Clinic

How to Choose a Reputable Injectables Clinic in Chatswood

1. Check the medical practitioner is registered

Cosmetic injectables are prescription treatments in Australia. Confirm the practitioner who assesses and prescribes is registered — you can verify anyone on the Ahpra public register. At MARA.H, consultation and prescription are with Dr Jenn Lee, an Ahpra Registered Practitioner (General Registration MED0002666421).

2. Confirm the products are TGA-approved

Only products registered with the Therapeutic Goods Administration should be used. Under Australian regulations, brand names cannot be shown publicly online, but a reputable clinic will discuss the exact product with you at consultation. MARA.H never compromises on authenticity or sourcing.

3. Expect a consultation and a cooling-off period

A new-patient treatment should never be performed on the same day as your first consultation — a cooling-off period applies. A clinic that rushes you into treatment on the spot is a warning sign. At MARA.H every plan begins with a comprehensive medical consultation first.

4. Look for a conservative, anatomy-led philosophy

A good injector recommends less rather than more, plans around your individual facial anatomy, and is willing to say no. That is the “Undetectable Injectables” approach at MARA.H — results that look like you, rested rather than altered.

Advanced Wellness

IV Drip Therapy & Collagen Stimulation

Two advanced pathways that sit alongside our signature injectables — IV nutrient infusions for skin and body wellness, and a bio-active collagen stimulator for gradual, structural volume restoration. Both require a medical consultation to confirm suitability before any treatment is carried out.

Intravenous Infusion

IV Drip Therapy

A bespoke intravenous blend of vitamins, minerals and antioxidants delivered directly for immediate absorption. Two protocol directions are available, chosen at consultation based on what your skin and body need.

Brightening & Reviving

A vitamin-C-led infusion to refresh dull, fatigued skin and support a clearer, more radiant complexion.

Vitality & Immune Support

A nutrient-dense blend focused on overall wellness, energy and resilience — for when the body needs a structured reset.

Collagen Stimulation

Bio-Active Collagen Stimulator

A bio-active injectable that works gradually — stimulating your skin’s own collagen production over weeks rather than filling volume instantly. Suited to those who want subtle, progressive structural improvement rather than immediate change, and who are appropriate for the protocol following medical assessment.

Gradual, natural-looking volume restoration over 4–8 weeks

Works with your own collagen — not a temporary filler

Prescribed and administered by Dr Jenn Lee after consultation

Both treatments are prescription-only and require a medical consultation with Dr Jenn Lee, an Ahpra Registered Practitioner (General Registration MED0002666421), to assess suitability. Pricing is confirmed at consultation, in line with TGA and Ahpra guidelines.

Before You Decide

Risks, Recovery and Suitability

What most people experience

A sharp pinprick sensation at each injection point, and small raised bumps that settle over the first few hours. Redness, tenderness and swelling around the treated area are usual on the day. Bruising is common and can appear a day or two later, particularly around the lips, under the eyes and along the jaw, where the skin is thin and blood vessels sit close to the surface.

Less common risks you should know about

Infection at an injection site, firm lumps under the skin, and visible asymmetry between the two sides can occur. With muscle relaxant injections, product can affect a neighbouring muscle and cause a heavy brow, a drooping eyelid or an uneven smile, which resolves over weeks to months rather than immediately. With dermal filler, the serious risk is product entering or pressing on a blood vessel — this can cause the overlying skin to break down and, rarely, changes to vision. Allergic reactions to injected products are uncommon but possible. These risks are related to anatomy and injection technique; careful technique reduces them rather than removing them.

Recovery and what it affects

Most people go back to their usual day, but plan around bruising rather than assume there will be none. Strenuous exercise, alcohol, saunas and hot showers are usually avoided for the first day, and after muscle relaxant injections you will be asked not to rub or massage the treated area. If you have an event coming up, allow two weeks rather than two days.

Results and responses vary

How your face responds depends on your anatomy, muscle strength, skin quality, how your body metabolises the product and what you started with. How long an effect lasts varies from person to person and between products. Some people need a review appointment to adjust, some need more than one session, and some are better served by a different approach or by no treatment at all.

When this isn’t suitable, or needs assessment first

Injectable treatments are not appropriate during pregnancy or breastfeeding, over active infection or inflamed skin in the treatment area, or where you have a known allergy to a product component. A bleeding disorder or ongoing blood-thinning medication, a neuromuscular condition, recent dental work, a history of keloid scarring, or previous filler placed elsewhere all mean we assess before proceeding. Prescription injectable treatments at MARA.H follow consultation with Dr Jenn Lee, an Ahpra Registered Practitioner (General Registration MED0002666421), and suitability is decided at that consultation rather than before it.

If something doesn’t seem right

Call the clinic on 0468 358 861. Pain that is out of proportion to what you were told to expect, skin that turns white, dusky or mottled, any change in vision, spreading redness, discharge or fever should be looked at straight away rather than waited out. If it is severe or you are worried, contact your GP or call 000.

Frequently Asked Questions

“Undetectable Injectables” describes how we approach this work: the aim is for your features to look like your own, rested rather than altered. In practice that means conservative dosing, planning around your individual facial anatomy, and being willing to recommend less than you asked for — or nothing at all — where that is the better outcome. Results vary between individuals, and what suits one face will not suit another.
Cosmetic injectables are prescription treatments in Australia, so they cannot be provided without a consultation with a registered medical practitioner. At MARA.H that consultation is with Dr Jenn Lee, an Ahpra Registered Practitioner (General Registration MED0002666421), who assesses your medical history and facial anatomy and decides whether treatment is appropriate. Treatment is then carried out by the MARA.H clinical team using TGA-approved products. You can verify any practitioner’s registration on the Ahpra public register.
Longevity depends on the type of treatment, the product used, and your individual metabolism. Generally, premium wrinkle treatments last between 3 to 4 months. High-quality dermal fillers can last anywhere from 9 to 18 months, depending on the area treated (e.g., lips versus jawline contouring). During your consultation at our Chatswood clinic, your injector will provide a customized maintenance timeline.
Absolutely. MARA.H specializes in Asian facial anatomy. We understand that enhancing Asian features requires a deeply specialized approach — such as focusing on medial mid-face projection rather than lateral widening, or sculpting a refined V-line jaw without adding unnecessary bulk. Our expert injectors in Sydney ensure that all filler and muscle-relaxant placements respect and elevate your ethnic beauty.
Yes, a comprehensive medical consultation is a strict requirement for all new patients at MARA.H. Our medical team will assess your facial structure, discuss your aesthetic goals, and review your medical history. This allows us to prescribe the exact dosage and product to achieve your desired “Undetectable” result safely. Australian regulations also require a cooling-off period between consultation and treatment for new patients.
MARA.H exclusively uses TGA-approved products — meaning every product is registered with and approved by the Australian Therapeutic Goods Administration, the country’s highest medical safety regulator. Under Australian regulations, the specific product brand names cannot be displayed publicly online; details of which product will be used in your treatment plan are discussed during consultation with Dr Jenn Lee, an Ahpra Registered Practitioner (General Registration MED0002666421), or our registered nurses. We never compromise on product authenticity or sourcing.
Most clients return to normal activities immediately. You may notice slight redness, minor swelling, or mild bruising at injection sites, which typically resolves within hours to a few days. Many premium products contain integrated comfort agents, and we apply paramedical topical numbing before treatment for client comfort. Avoid strenuous exercise, alcohol, and heat (sauna, hot showers) for 24 hours post-treatment. Most clients schedule their session before important events with 2 weeks buffer for optimal settling.
MARA.H is located at Level 2, 12 Thomas Street, Chatswood NSW 2067 — a 2-minute walk from Chatswood train station on Sydney’s North Shore. Hours: Tuesday to Saturday, 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM (by appointment only). All cosmetic injectables appointments are by medical consultation only — please book a consultation to assess suitability before any treatment.
Yes. Prescription injectables in Australia can only be provided after a consultation with a registered medical practitioner, and a cooling-off period between that consultation and treatment applies for new patients. At MARA.H this means your treatment is never performed on the same day as your first consultation — the exact interval is confirmed by Dr Jenn Lee, an Ahpra Registered Practitioner (General Registration MED0002666421), at your appointment.
Most treatment plans include a review consultation, typically around two weeks after treatment, to assess how your features have settled and whether any adjustment is appropriate. This is part of the conservative, anatomy-led approach we use — the review lets Dr Jenn Lee and the clinical team check the result and refine it rather than assuming a single session was optimal.
